This cute chenille flower applique embroidery design is just in time for spring. This file comes as a whole flower in one hooping, or as two separate hoopings, with the stem as the first part and the petals as the second.  This allows for a larger design, even if you have a smaller hoop.  You could also make a really large flower on a shirt, which would be darling!

This listing includes 19 sizes, 8 with the whole flower in one hoop, and 11 with the stem and petals in separate hoopings.  With the parts separated, each half is 4 inches, 5 inches, 6 inches, 7 inches, 8 inches, 9 inches, 10 inches, 11 inches, 12 inches, 13 inches, and 14 inches. If you put the 7 inch petals with the 7 inch stem, the overall design would be just over 11 inches tall.

Below are the sizes for the whole flower in one hooping:
7 inches tall - 4 13/16 x 7 1/16 inches with 1,176 Stitches
8 inches tall - 4 11/16 x 7 7/8 inches with 1,296 Stitches
9 inches tall -5 7/16 x 9 1/8 inches with 1,491 Stitches
10 inches tall - 6 x 10 1/8 inches with 1,642 Stitches
11 inches tall - 6 1/2 x 10 15/16 inches with 1,771 Stitches
12 inches tall - 7 x 11 13/16 inches with 1,897 Stitches

Chenille Yarn Instructions:

Do not change the colors of the two steps to the same color.  They must be two different colors when you send the design to your machine so that the machine will stop in between the two steps.

Hoop your project and send the design to the machine.  Run the first step, which shows the placement for the yarn.

Remove your hoop from the machine, but DO NOT unhoop your project.  Use washable Elmer’s glue or double-sided tape along the stitches.  I have not tried the double-sided tape method.

Place the yarn over the placement stitches, being careful to follow the stitches exactly.

Gently press down to make sure the yarn will not move during embroidery.

Place the hoop back on the machine and slow the speed down as slow as it will go.  Run the final step, which is the narrow zigzag stitch to appliqué the yarn to the project.  Be ready to stop the machine as needed to adjust the yarn.  Once completed, remove the hoop and unhoop your project.  Rub your fingers over the yarn to fluff the fibers over the stitches.

Happy Stitching!
